EVERYDAY GLAM PINK MAKEUP TUTORIAL + VIDEO

Definitely my most requested video to date! I’ve been sporting this everyday glam pink look pretty much non-stop on my Instagram stories (follow me @shortpresents), so it was about time that I made a legit video for you guys!

Recently as you know I took a little staycation to Oceanstone, and when I was doing my makeup I figured what the heck I should make a video. Not to mention the cottage we stayed in (The Captains House) has the best natural light.

While I forgot my favorite sunscreen so you won’t see it here I do mention it below, so be sure to check that out. See exactly how I apply my makeup, and catch all the products I used in video below 🙂

PRODUCTS I USED

Foundation → Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation.

Concealer → Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer

Setting Powder →  Dermablend Setting Powder

Bronzer → Lise Watier.

Blush + Highlight →  Make Up For Ever Refillable Palette. Highlight in H106 – “Shimmery Champagne” Highlight & Blush in S214 “Rosewood Blush” (Matte). I use this combo EVERY single day, and the blush is super pigmented it hardly even looks like I used it.

Mascara → L’Oreal Voluminous

Liquid Lipstick → Pixi Matte Last Liquid Lip in “au naturelle”. I absolutely love love love these lip sticks I also wear the “really rose” and “evening rose” A lot. The “really rose” is probably my fave even though I’m not wearing it here. It’s a beautiful dusty pink color, and a great in between shade where as the”au naturelle” is more coral and bright, and “evening rose” is more dark and definitely a deeper color. I linked them here for reference, but you can definitely grab them in stores at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Brushes → Sephora

# 205 – Eye shadow double sided brush  (lid and crease)

# 221 – “Powder and blush” I used the powder side for Bronzer

# 204 – “highlight and shape” – I use the shape size for extra dimension for added bronzer.

Shadow → I used an Urban Decay palette that unfortunately is no longer available (as that’s the one I use when I travel because it’s small and offers a good range). However, there’s also the Sephora Pro Palette which is the one I use at home and has some beautiful pink shadows. And conversely, if you just want one pink shadow you could pick up the Make Up For Ever Artist color Shadows which is really cool because you can customize their shadows into a Refillable Makeup Palette. I’d suggest going for something with some shine 🙂 I love that iridescent look.  These are the two colors I picked up recently: COLOR: ME-840 – Pink chrome (more of a purple I would add) & COLOR: I-808 – English pink

TIPS AND TRICKS

Biotherm

Δ In the video I applied the foundation immediately on what looks like bare skin, but it’s only because I forgot my Elizabeth Arden City Smart Sunscreen and basically everything I use for my morning skincare routine, but you can read about it here.

I love wearing the Prevage City Smart Sunscreen under my makeup obviously for sun, and pollution protection, but also because it’s so iridescent, and makes your skin so dewy!

Δ You can blend the foundation with a brush or a beauty blender, but I just use my hands.

Δ Apply your bronzer with a light hand in a “3” motion (coming in on the cheek bones), and make sure to blend into your hair line for the most natural look.

I love this fluffy brush from Sephora, and the matte bronzer from Lise Watier it’s so pigmented and I’ve had it for and ever it seems, and I use it every single day.

Δ Blend your blush into the bronzer to avoid looking like a clown (yep I said it) lol.

Δ for highlight I love to apply on the upper cheek bones (avoiding your under eye), down the nose, over the cupids bow, and on my brow bone.

Δ Eye shadow I apply a shimmery shadow over the lid, and the under eye to open the eyes up. I don’t add any more to the brush but simply just use what’s left over. A lot of times when I use pink shadows I just use my blush for the crease, as it’s a great way to create a cohesive look.

Δ My brows are microbladed (read my “Microblading Q&A with Brows by Bianca” for more details) so I just use a powder to darken them a bit.

And because I know y’all will ask I got these pjs from La Vie En Rose. They are sooooo soft and cozy I love them so much. I bought mind in-store, but I’ve linked here a sleep shirt in a similar pattern and it’s on sale!
