Truth be told I’ve actually blogged this recipe before, but the photos needed updating, and well let’s be honest they are just SO great that you needed a reminder! I love this recipe for just a snack (I make them a lot of parties), or even to add to salads (YUM), you could also add these roasted chick peas to rice dishes, or even enjoy them as a side. The possibilities are endless, and they are SO good.
SUPER EASY ROASTED CHICKPEAS RECIPE
1- 2 cans of no salt added chick peas
1 Tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/2 tsp garlic
1/2 onion powder
1/2 tsp paprika
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Rinse the chick peas under running water (very important you don’t want to skip this step), and dry them on some paper towel.
In a small bowl combine the spices together, set aside.
Coat the chick peas is some olive oil preferably a good tasting one, and then just sprinkle them with the spice mixture. Make sure they are all well coated.
Transfer the chick peas to a cookie sheet, you could use parchment paper if you wanted, but I didn’t bother.
Bake on 350 for 25-30 minutes (depending on your oven).
