Menswear Monday w/ Chris Norris:  90s Grunge Flashback

Whether
it’s childhood nostalgia, or a simple desire for comfort and warmth, I
find myself frequently vibing on the grungy 90s this winter.

I’ve
stolen pieces from some of the coolest dudes of the 90s, and to keep my
look current, married them with items that are hot right now.

I’ve
gone with the ever-cozy plaid flannel and paired it with some very
versatile, key pieces every guy should own:  the black slim pant,
classic peacoat, denim vest (a great layering piece to give a simple
look some edge) and leather military/work boots! Adding a pop of
burgundy and a feather necklace gives this otherwise harsh look a softer
touch.

We
all know dressing for this unpredictable Halifax winter can be a
guessing game in itself – Playing around with contrasting elements and
fabrics makes your outfit easy to switch up depending on the weather.

So layer up, gentleman! You’ll be prepared for whatever the day throws at you!

Hope you enjoyed this guest post from Chris Norris; we certainly loved having him!  If you think you have what it takes to be featured in Short Presents’ Menswear Monday then send your submissions to info@shortpresents.com

*Tips for taking photos:
Have a friend photograph you (avoid “selfies” in the mirror).
Make sure to include one FULL BODY shot (including shoes) to make sure the outfit is easily visible.
Shoot outdoors in clear natural light (No flash)
Find a simple non-distracting background. Consider composition.
Don’t forget to SMILE 🙂 fashion is fun after all.

Happy Monday,
Sincerely,
Short Presents

The best color combination is black and white. I absolutely sure that you are looking stunning when you wear those dresses. But I mostly like your boots. That is fabulous.
