How adorable is this collection? I just adore that buttery yellow shade! Recently I had a chance to review this new collection from OPI, and here’s what I have to say.
Okay it’s a no brainer that we love that yellow, but I
couldn’t wait to get my hands on those glitters too. I love the little
flecks of black mixed in with a confetti like texture. In a lazy attempt
to not have to sloth off my old nail color I just applied the glitter
“To be or not to beagle” over top of “How great is your dane” from the
Nordic collection. If you’re lazy too, and you want to do the same just make sure to cover up the glitter with a clear top
coat otherwise it will snag on EVERYTHING! Trust this.
needed to do a couple of coats to evenly spread out the confetti
glitter. I found I needed to dip it in the polish and scrap it up
against the side of the bottle to try and catch the little circles (if
that makes sense?), but it’s just because I wanted a concentrated dose of confetti. I wouldn’t say this was a negative about the product I think it’s more so that it’s a good tip for great application.
This polish should be considered industrial strength
because I put my nails through the ringer, and it didn’t chip or reseed
at all for a very long time! So definitely scores high in my opinion on
the long wear! I will also say that I know people have their reservations about using glitter, as they can be tricky to remove, but I literally peeled this polish off. I know this sounds odd, but I just gently pulled up from the bottom, and for most of my nails it came off in one piece.
It’s difficult to see in the photo below, but along with
the confetti pieces are all little flecks of black that kind of look
like scribbles to me. And I love it. I think it would be super cute to
layer this over the bright butter yellow. Keep your eyes peeled to my instagram account (@shortpresents), as I’m sure I’ll be exploring this idea very soon.
