Fast forward to Fall and Winter. Think cozy sweaters and cups of hot tea. Yeah yeah I know you probably want to hurl something at me through the computer screen, but like it or not: Winter is coming.
I kind of like the idea of embracing our ever changing seasons I think it gives us a chance to switch things up and try new things. So before you have a Henry these lacquers from OPI’s Nordic Collection could totally be warn well before the snow falls. Ugh! Even the word snow is upsetting isn’t it?
OPI’s
Fall/Winter 2014 Nordic Collection is inspired by the great northern
lights in Finland, deep blue fjords in Norway, and colorful houses in
Copenhagen! Beautiful right? Here’s a sneak peek at the collection…
twelve shade collection reflects the contrast and tones of the season
seen on the runways and features a palette ranging from spicy browns in
shades of bronze, cinnamon and caramel to rich purples in wine, black
cherry and blue-violet hues, with accents of creamy coral, pink and sea
green. Here’s a sneak peek…
Do You Have This Color in Stock-holm? – Stock up! This icy blue-violet is in hot demand!
initial thoughts when opening the box were that the colors were
gorrrrrgeous; it was really tricky to pick just one! With so many to
choose from I can definitely wear them with a lot of different outfits
(especially for Fall and Winter). The first color I tried
from the collection was the vibrant purplish/blue color “Don’t You Have This
Color in Stock-Holm”. Don’t you just love their names ? They make me laugh every
time.
Initially
I was concerned with the texture because it seemed like the nail color was a
little thin, but with just two coats it was perfect! This shade of
purple is really pretty and in some lights it even looks almost indigo and other
times it looks really purple – It definitely reminds me of a beautiful
night sky. This color is going to sell like crazy I can just see it!
I also tried this super feminine shade of pink “Suzi Has a Swede Tooth“! It reminds me of Barbie for some reason; it’s not as bright as a neon pink, but it’s not light either. I think it must have a little blue in it or something because the color is really pretty pink, but it’s not super bright. I love it.
To answer your question, yes. Yes I do paint my nails A LOT! And as identified in the photo below, my love for orange is only growing stronger and stronger by the day! It’s so funny because I never used to be an orange person, but whatever it is about this season I can’t seem to get enough of this color! And I just adore this bright orange shade “Can’t Afjörd Not To” that just so happppppppens to match my new wallet and purse. Coincidence? I think not.
