Chai Rice Krispie Treats

 Cinnamon and chai spice up an old favorite 

Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter or margarine 
6 cups mini marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of cloves
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
6 cups of Rice Krispie cereal 

Directions:

Line 13 X 9 inch baking pan with parchment paper (set aside) 
In a large pan, over low heat melt butter or margarine
Add the marshmallows and stir over low heat until marshmallows are melted

Add Vanilla and spices: mix well.
 
Add Rice Krispie cereal and stir to coat all the cereal in the marshmallow mixture.
Pour into lined baking dish and press with buttered hands.
Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips (optional).

Allow to cool for about 30 minutes before cutting into individual squares.
Store in refrigerator in an air tight container.
Play around with the spice quantities; you could add more or less depending on your preference.

    You should call these Rice Chaiskies, or Chai Krispies, or Kayla's Krispies, or Chai Ricekies.
