Fashion Friday “Outfit Inspo”
About a month into Winter you are probably already starting to feel the affects. The extended darkness, the bitter cold and the restlessness can all take its toll: physically, mentally, and emotionally. Somedays you just feel like you are dragging your feet and everything seems to take so much effort. With nearly two more months of Winter left, we have a ways to go before we can shed the winter layers. Until then here is a little weekend outfit inspo and some upbeat music to help hold you over.
This song never ceases to pick me up out a sour mood and plunk me back into reality. I’ll be fighting tooth and nail to get things done, and then upon hearing this song it is like all the sudden somebody has literally picked me up by my back belt loops shook me around and said “Hey! wake up already!”
Just because it is not Spring yet does not mean you cannot wear bright shear clothing: you just need to layer it. Your spring clothing is so tired of being lonely, it still has some love to give. Try switching it up a bit from the greys, the navys, and the blacks with some bright pops of colours.
Exhibit A:
I chose this sea foam green colour blouse, and paired it with a white long sleeve t-shirt and dark denims and boots. But this blouse could easily be tucked into some trousers, or a skirt with tights, or paired with some lovely prints. For Spring this blouse would look amazing colour blocked with a hot pink skirt or skinny jeans. You could also fire this puppy underneath a sweater, although you would be doing a disservice to this beautiful colour by covering it up. On second thought maybe just do a cardigan.
Normally I would pair the blouse with solid tights and a high waisted skirt, but it was just much too cold in Halifax that day to pull it off.
Happy Friday Fashionistas
sincerely

Ooh, if that's your place, you're in a great location. great view!
This sea foam colour blouse is gorgeous. I have a similar style in cream but I'm already thinking of getting it in another colour, green or pink. I agree with your thoughts about winter, it can be so hard with the dark nights and cold weather. Next year I might invest in a light box, although it might be cheaper to take your advice here!
