Really looking forward to watching this film sometime this weekend. With an industry that is so vibrantly influential in our culture, and yet so closed off from the society at the same time; unless you are living in it, you really can’t know what it’s like… Until now that is, this movie bares it all in all exclusive pass to the ugly side of the fashion industry. Every year models seem to be getting younger and younger, and thinner and thinner, at what point do we say enough is enough?

Must See Film: Picture Me (A Model’s Diary)

Models are too generic in that they are often too young and very thin. We are so far away from embracing a range of body types (male and female!) in the Media and I get really cross about this! When models are so young I do worry about exploitation – in the UK I know there are groups trying to better regulate the industry, so fingers crossed…
