Looking for a light snack to hold you over until dinner? I know a lot of people do jam and cheese on crackers, so I thought mhm why not go straight to the source?
Turns out this is my new favorite snack. The combination of sweet strawberries and sharp cheese is actually very complimentary; the crackers can add some saltness and interesting textures. Experiment with different cheeses and fancy crackers. I usually go for the smelly cheeses, like apple wood smoked cheddar, Gouda, or Swiss… yum!
The calcium in the cheese doesn’t only just help to build strong bones; eating calcium regularly can actually help push the fat through your body quicker; meaning it spends less time in your body being absorbed as fat.
Cheese can also help clean your teeth if you are short on time after a meal grab a cube of cheese.
When it comes to cheese, less is more remember it does have a high fat content, that being said if you choose a fuller flavored cheese you’ll need less of it to satisfy you.
