Are you peeling your shellac off?? We’ve all done it, but it’s SO damaging to your nails it’s really just not worth it especially when removing it properly is actually SO easy.
I don’t know about you, but when I want my shellac polish off I want it OFF, and to be honest I really just don’t have time in my schedule to go to the salon to have it removed.
And while removing your own shellac polish definitely seems super intimidating, it’s really just a few simple steps, and once you’ve done it a few times I promise it’s easy peasy! The biggest thing, and the step I find a lot of people tend to forget to tell you: is that you really do need to rough up the polish first before you can add the caps otherwise nothing will happen.
If you’d like to learn how to remove your shellac polish at home, follow the steps in the video below!! Trust me you can totally do it yourself.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 100% Acetone regular polish remover will not work
- Emery board
- Cotton pads
- Aluminum foil
*Pro tip: if you have a set of tech gloves, pop them on and you can use your phone while you wait for them to soak. I usually do both hands at a time, but it can be tricky. You might want to try one at a time at first until you get more proficient about it.
