DIY MATCHA GREEN TEA FACE MASK

Today’s recipe isn’t necessarily an edible one; (well it kind of is all natural ingredients, but it probably wouldn’t taste very good) it is, however, incredibly easy to make, and makes your skin look ah-mazing.  Totally worth it.

This face mask only takes a minute to make, and literally only 3 ingredients, so you can probably go ahead and do it right now.
I caught this DIY face mask “recipe” while watching the E! Network, and I wish I could remember the woman who was chatting about it, so I could credit her, but alas my memory escapes me. For the record though I did not come up with this πŸ™‚ except for the measurements those are my suggestions.
Here’s what you need:

About 1/4 cup hot water (maybe a little less), and a mason jar to mix up the mask.

1 TBS coconut oil
1 TSP matcha green tea powder

Boil your water, and combine with the matcha green tea powder until it desolves completely.

Add the coconut oil to combine, and allow for the mixture to create a paste (and cool slightly).
I applied the mask using a foundation brush, but you could technically use your hands. I find this less messy, and the warm mask just feels really nice being brushed up against skin.

I left the mask on for about 5 minutes or so, and just washed it off with warm water. Be sure you get it all because you could look a little green around the gills.

I lovvvvvvvve how this mask made my skin look and feel! Matcha green tea is FULL of antioxidants, and the coconut oil is so silky smooth both of which make a great face mask.
I would totally recommend, and I’ll be doing this again for sure!
