On Wednesday evening I stopped into the Fashion Night Out event at
Foreign Affair on Barrington street. Personally I think more retailers
need to have events like these, and even more I think a bunch of them
should do it all at the same time. It would be really fun to bump from
one shopping hot spot to another. With door prizes, sparkling wine and
refreshments, and a DJ spinning perfect shopping tracks; it doesn’t seem
THAT difficult to organize. Then again I wasn’t the one planning it
so it’s easy for me to say. Along with my outfit photos I’ve also included some iphone photos that I snapped
while attending the event. Enjoy ๐
Before I show you the photos from the event I need to talk about these little burgundy booties! I was shopping at Walmart picking up tights, and socks (Diva on a Dime I know) when I stumbled on these little booties. Usually I spend a large chunk of change on my shoes because I’m pretty sure I have the world’s narrowest foot (I think I could win the world record; is there one?) and I really prefer comfort and quality. I tried them on and they were actually really comfortable and CUTE ๐ So I thought $15 um okay I’d probably spend that on lunch anyway so why not?! They added the perfect pop of color to an otherwise black and white ensemble.
I digress.
A little bubbly, delicious food finger foods, and a DJ spinning some mad beats what more could you ask for? I took a couple photos of some items that I really liked ๐ photo #4 is a sweater that looks like confetti cake! I did a terrible job capturing it with my iPhone, but in person it’s actually really cute. Also there were some really amazing Alexander Wang sweat pants, and a hooded black dress that was swoon worthy to say the least. If you are on pose at all you probably recognize this strapping young lad! With over 20 thousand followers it’s easy to see that this guy knows style ๐ check him out on pose and at greaseandglamour.com
I couldn’t stay long at the event because I had to pop over to the library to do some writing coaching at Dalhousie University, but with a quick wardrobe change I was ready to go! Below is the photo I posted to pose and instagram follow me @shortpresents for both. Same blouse different look ๐
Also I’ve styled the shorts above before you can see that look here: “Mustard Ballet Flats”
Taking an outfit from day to night is easy! You just need to know how to add and subtract items! When you are as busy as I am you need clothing that is very versatile, but you also need a little imagination. It gets crazy some times you guys!
Happy turkey weekend to my Canadian blog readers! Hope you have a lovely time and you share it with family and friends. Make sure you take the time to give thanks! I am thankful for you blog readers! Thanks so much for reading and for your continued support!
Much love,
