There are some things are just classics and Billie Holiday is definitely one of them. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful and sad. This photo invokes similar feelings in me; it’s eerie and arguably time ambiguous. I feel like it looks like it is from the past, and there’s something ghostly mysterious about photos from the past, that is so vastly different from the way we typically photograph now.
