Spotted all over the runways polka dots are BACK and this time they are all grown up! Sophisticated and fun, the best part about polka dots is that they require little to no styling. A bold choice in their own right, polka dots are loud and proud so keep your accessories minimal and let the dots be the focal.
One of the things I love about dresses is that it’s an easy outfit. Simply pop on a pair of shoes and grab a purse and you’re good to go! There’s so much less fuss when opting for a dress.
WHAT I’M WEARING:
Barrettes (vintage from my great aunt).
This dress caught my eye immediately, truth be told I spotted it on Instagram and knew I had to have it. I love it’s classic vintage vibes I think this is a dress you could have for a long time, and never get tired of it. Perfect for many occasions, it’s really comfortable to0. I love the ease of the t-shirt style, and the perfectly cinched waist tie for an effortless hour glass silhouette. It could be fun to experiment with belts too, or even layering (during the winter) I’m thinking like a black turtleneck and black leggings, but we’re moving forwards not backwards so that’s a conversation for another day!
Speaking of summer how perfect are these white block heel mules?? I’ve been wearing them a lot recently despite the frigid temps. Do you ever find our clothing patterns funny?? In the spring you’ll see me trying to wear summer clothes, and in fall when it’s arguably the same temp I’m probably in a parka haha! We’re always living in the future here in Canada hey??
ANYWAYS back to the white mules Le Chateau has a bunch, so you’ll definitely find something you like. Personally I think they go with anything, and is there anything more fresh than white? Guys I’m obsessed with these shoes mark my words you won’t see mules go anywhere anytime soon.
So there you have it! Two trends you can be sure about this spring: polka dots and mules! A winning combo if you ask me. Hope you enjoyed today’s post.
