#GLOWANDSHOW

Spring is just around the corner I can feel it, so I can’t help but get excited about wearing skirts, and dresses again without having to bundle up.
Unfortunately with my busy schedule I haven’t been able to get away anywhere warm this winter which means my legs have quite literally not seen the light of day in a ridiculously long time.
With my dance recital just around the corner (yes I am more than freaking out I mean why did I sign up for Hip Hop like really what was I thinking?) I wouldn’t mind sporting some less than Casper the friendly ghost legs on stage. I mean those lights are not forgiving to begin with, so naturally I’ve had to enlist some help.

Cue Jergens Natural Glow body lotion. I love a good spray tan as much as the next gal, but it can be a whole process, and the last thing I needed was another appointment to schedule. I wanted something passive, and gradual that I could simply incorporate into what I was already doing. I mean if you’re going to be applying body lotion after the shower or a bath it might as well be a tinted one right?
So when Jergens reached out about participating in their #showtheglow campaign I naturally jumped at the opportunity. I knew I already loved their product, as I’ve been using it for years, so I figured why not?!
Usually I don’t start my “tanning routine” until later, but with my dance recital coming up, and winter kind of getting me down I figured it would be the perfect timing for a confidence boost. Now I will admit I’ve only been using the product for a short time (about a week or so), but I’ve already noticed a change (I mean do you remember this?). The other day when we were doing a run through in the mirrors with our costumes (which one of them is completely white and really short I might add) I really felt better and much more confident with some color on my arms and legs. I was kind of shocked (and excited) to be honest that I noticed such a difference from a short period of time although because I knew I was writing this I was slightly less lazy than normal about apply it frequently.
I know a lot of people make a big fuss about having tanned legs, but I actually love tanned arms just as much. There’s something about a little color (especially near my face) that just makes me feel a little more lively.  I do have to admit though that I love that it’s more difficult to see my black and blue knees from my bruises from rolling around on the floor from dance practice (contemporary class I’m looking at you): it’s been great camouflage.
I’m definitely feeling more confident about baring my half naked self on stage in a couple of weeks after using the Jergens Natural Glow product especially considering it’s taken little to no effort to achieve results. I’ve simply just been applying the lotion after I get out of the shower, and going about my day as usual: it’s as easy as that.
For how inexpensive, and effortless this product is to apply I have to say I really do like the color, and the subtle glow that was achieved. I don’t look like I’ve dunked myself in coffee grinds, nor do I look like a leopard; the color is even, and slight.

I’ll definitely keep using it after my dance recital, so I’ll be ready and confident for all these beautiful cream and ivory pieces in my wardrobe that just don’t look the same with stockings. EEP! I can’t wait to wear them all again. Isn’t it kind of amazing that we have four seasons to look forward to isn’t it? I mean it’s basically like four wardrobes right? Can you tell I’m already over winter and ready to move on to bigger and better things?
