WHAT TO WEAR FOR VALENTINES DAY

monochrome looks, winter white, tulle skirts

When choosing a look for valentine’s day or a date night in general it can be tricky to strike that balance between sexy, and hot mess. Arguably we know what our significant others would have us wear (i.e. the tightest and shortest dress we own) but I prefer a sophisticated form of sexy that also allows me to eat my dinner (and maybe even dessert too).

FEATURED ITEMS:
Top,  Wilfred Free Brigitte Shirt, c/o Artizia
Coat and Skirt, c/o Envy Clothing Co.
Shoes, Apt 9 via Khols
Bodychain, c/o Olive and Piper
Watch, c/o Bulova
Wrap Bracelet, Endless Jewelry c/o Halifax Watch Co
I
actually adore wearing pink and red especially if it’s magenta and and a
blue red, but lately I’ve been feeling a very neutral vibe. For this valentine’s day inspired outfit I decided
on a full monochrome cream look instead while opting for a dusty pink
coat and a bold red lip as accents.
The lip color and coat nod to valentines day, but arguably could be
(and has been) warn all year long. This outfit is also very sexy (hello plunging
neckline and body chain), but the color scheme and textures keep it equally playful as well.

It’s all about finding that balance., so highlight one asset at time because the neckline on this top is ay caramba low (thank goodness it’s long sleeved) I decided to opt for a more fuller, and longer skirt in a hue that’s slightly more innocent or less traditionally sexy.

Remember simple can be sexy there’s no need for bells and whistels after all the person seated across from you at dinner wants to date you not a Christmas tree ornament.
As far as accessories go, as I mentioned I really wanted to keep the entire look simple and classic, so I opted for a delicate body chain and my new favorite wrap bracelet from Endless Jewelry, and watch from Bulova

How cute is that little rose gold cheetah charm? I love how with these bracelets the charms don’t slide around or all collapse down to the bottom of the bracelet like brands of a ssimilar variety. Also you really can customize where you want the charms to sit especially with the double wrap bracelet like I’m wearing here.

There’s so much choice in terms of how you can style your Endless bracelet (either for you or your loved one), so you really can make it personal to suit your style.  Like for me for instance, I’m a Leo as well I was born the year of the Tiger, so almost always associate with cats or felines (I pretty love to be surrounded by my peeps at all times), so I was super excited to find this rose gold cheetah charm, and a white leather bracelet that puuuuurfectly match my favorite watch (LOL sorry I had to).

The clasp is also magnetic, so you can put it on yourself which will soothe any miss independent‘s soul. And speaking of girl bosses, did you know that Jennifer Lopez designed her own collection for Endless Jewelry (see the full collection here)?

We’ve all seen our fair share of celebrity endorsed products, but what I love about this collection is that she’s actually had a hand in designing the pieces (#goals #amiright?) that are inspired by who we’ve come to know as Jennifer Lopez herself (fun, sexy, and elegant).

Lopez suggests:Adding colors means adding possibilities. It’s fashion, it’s elegant, but it’s also fun, and you can match the designs to any outfit or color you feel like“. Sounds good to me

If you’re interested in picking up one for yourself (or loved one) they are available locally at Halifax Watch Co (Mic Mac Mall location) or check out the Endless Jewelry website to shop online or find a distributor in your area.
