HALIFAX EVENTS: #SHOPTHEHOOD

shop the neightboorhood

Are you busy this weekend? Because there’s a really great event happening right here in our city that you should DEFINITELY check out. I am super excited to announce that I’ve partnered with Shop The Neighborhood a small business initiative with Yellow Pages to help support our local businesses! This Saturday Nov 28 I’ll be taking over ‪#‎shopthehood‬
and I couldn’t be more excited to explore the city and be the first to represent Halifax!!

WHAT IS THE EVENT?

This time last year across the coast (well almost) people from all over Canada (well almost) went out into their cities and explored their independent shops, restaurants, and services to promote shopping local! What a great initiative right?

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

All across the city local businesses will be offering great deals, and finding them is super easy thanks to the YP Shopwise app! I have a whole day planned out filled with burgers, donuts, and shopping, and it’ll all start with heading down to where all the action is happening at Historic Properties where the Shop the Neighboorhood peeps will be spreading local cheer!
And of course be sure to follow my @shortpresents social channels on instagram, twitter, facebook, and snapchat (shortpresents) to see what I’m up to, and of course follow @shopthehood_ca for all the details across the country.

WHAT IF I’M BUSY THAT DAY?

Be sure
to follow @ShopThehood_ca #shopthehood while I tour the city
catching all the sweet deals! And if you’ve already got plans, and you can’t shop local this weekend be sure to support online too! A follow or a like for a local business can really go a long way. And remember you can always use this app going forward anytime you’re looking for a great deal downtown.

With the holidays and winter just around the corner it’s important to support our local businesses more than ever. We know more than anyone how much of an impact our winters can have on a local business, so please before you head out to a big box store to purchase your gifts and decorations consider exploring a local option first! And bonus this weekend you might just score a great deal.
See you Saturday!

It is really important to give time to the guests at corporate event to interact amongst themselves and discuss things comfortably. The best time they will get to connect to each other is during lunch. So it is advised to have proper breakfast or lunch arranged.
