familiar? yeah mornings can be a bugger at best especially if you’re
not one for planning ahead. Now I know it takes time and effort to get
some things prepared the night before, but honestly it’s a life saver
and TOTALLY worth it. From some quick breakfast ideas to some no fail
planning the night before I promise you’re be queen of your morning
hustle with these tips and tricks!
Dry shampo is definitely your friend! Simply spritz, and lightly tease and you’re good to go. Luckily the tousled look is MAJOR in, so if it’s a little messy that’s okay, or if you like a smoother look simply brush out your waves with a boar bristle brush, and add some volume and/or extra curls as necessary. Sometimes my hair looks better the second day than the first 🙂
CONSIDER A RINSE
If you’re the type that hasssssssssss to shower in the morning consider skipping the hair wash, and simply rejuvenate your body with a rinse. Might I suggest moisturizing while you’re in the shower? You might as well do something in there since you’re not washing your hair! Jergen’s makes a great product that you can use in the shower, and you don’t need to worry about rubbing it in forever once you get out or also stuffing yourself into your clothes all sticky.
OPT FOR PREMADE BREAKFAST
Whether it a smoothie or overnight oats you won’t need to worry about any morning road blocks because breakfast is already taken care of! Try this recipe for no-cook over night oats, and this “green machine smoothie” recipe for a batch of 3 smoothies or use the smoothie base to make a delicious smoothie bowl by adding fun toppings (read that recipe here).
PERFECT YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE
There’s no time for experimenting when it comes to early mornings save those for the weekend. Your makeup and hair should be as basic a b*tch at Starbucks ordering a latte. Once you get in down there’s no reason that it should take you any more than 5 minutes to look alive. I opt for the same routine: sunscreen or a serum w/ sun protection foundation, powder, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow (in a soft color), and some mascara. You don’t need much, but you do need a good base, and some color on the cheeks.
The key to surviving a crazy morning is try your best not to have one, so anything you can do the night before (pick out clothes, find your keys, make your lunch) to plan ahead or make things easier is definitely a good idea. Basically you want to plan to do the least amount of tasks possible so you can catch those extra z’s.
