PINK AND RED

Despite getting rained on, there still being snow on the ground, my heels getting stuck in the soggy ground, AND it being minus a million we STILL managed to pull off this shoot. Boy us Nova Scotian bloggers really do have our work cut out for us when it comes to Spring blogging.

When I saw this floral fit and flare dress on the Maggy London website
I immediately fell head over heels for it, and I knew exactly how I
would style it. This is always a good sign folks when you’re shopping.
If you see something, and immediately think about how you could wear it,
or what pieces in your current wardrobe that could go with it, this
should send alarms bells off for you that you should probably consider
making the purchase.

I
adored the color combination, and the fit and flare silhouette is one
that I favor more than any other (it’s very flattering on most body
types), and I love the addition of tulle underneath. I mean how fun
right? With a plethora of weddings coming up I knew I would need some new
dresses in my possession, and the length of this one was really calling my name.

For
some stupid indecisive reason I was a little unsure how others would
react to it, so I took to Facebook for some feedback. I asked which
dress I should purchase out of three choices, one of which was this ombre blue dress, and the floral fit and flare dress got an
outstanding amount of votes which only reinforced my initial thoughts,
and of course solidified my choice.

I also love the Ikat Rose Godet dress, The Rose Blouson Dress, and I was REALLY close to choosing the illusion top too! If I was better with strapless I would 100% have gotten this top; it’s kind of sexy, but still very classy I love love LOVE IT.

ANYYYYWAYS I shot these photos with one of my good friends, and very talented photographer Matt Corkum (Fade to White Photography). We literally had about 2 minutes to shoot before we got rained out. It was kind of funny because it was fine all day until we finally found our spot, and then it just started coming down (we had to laugh). We made it work though, and Matt being as talented as he is got some great shots despite the weather.
