HAIRSPIRATION: THE TWISTED HAIR CROWN

Currently I’ve been finding that my long hair is getting kind of blah, and so
I’ve been looking for different ways to jazz it up. Doing the usual rounds on
instagram I spotted this “twisted hair crown” photo by the gorgeous Amber Fillerp Clark of barefootblonde.com and I was intrigued. I had no idea how to do it, but I just kept playing with my hair until I got the look (I think) I was going for.

This is what I ended up with 🙂 it was my first try and I really didn’t
want to take it out and start again in case it was just a
complete fluke! I’m hoping I’ll do better next time! If you have highlights and/or
multidimensional hair color this will look really neat
🙂 because you’ll be able to see all the hair colors as they flow in and out of the twists! I found taking small pieces of the front of my hair and twisting them in opposite directions and then pinning them worked best 🙂 I just guided the extra hair in the direction it was going and fixed it with a pin, so there was like a little headband of hair behind the twists. This might not make any sense, but give a go! Half the fun is the self discovery!

Excellent post. I’m actually surprised the use of blogs and wikis isn’t higher.

You completed a number of nice points there. I did a search on the issue and found nearly all people will have the same opinion with your blog.
