Metabolism Boosting Peach Mango Smoothie

I know I’ve been bombarding you with
smoothie recipes, but I just can’t help that there are so many delicious
recipes! This one was inspired by a video clip I caught on E. It calls for cinnamon! Genius idea right? Adding cinnamon, peaches and lime in a smoothie never would have crossed my mind. Did you know that
cinnamon has metabolism boosting qualities! Dr. Oz suggests adding it to you
morning cup of Joe to get things moving.
Peaches are also in season, so they are
ripe for the picking blog readers, and perfect delicious for your smoothie! Leave the skins on for added dose of fibre 🙂
Also
this recipe calls for Greek yogurt, I’m sure most of you are already familiar
with Greek yogurt and it’s high protein content. Did you know that protein keeps you fuller longer, and can also help prevent you from downing a bag of Doritos because you’ve starved yourself to the point where your brain only recognized high fat foods as edible foods for consumption. Skipping meals is so
passé, eating smarter is the best way to achieve long term results.
Okay, so let’s recap here, we’ve got
cinnamon for metabolism, we’ve got in season peaches (delicious), AND we’ve got
high protein greek yogurt to keep us fuller longer. I’m going to go ahead and
just say that this could be one of the best smoothie recipes EVER!

Recipe:

2 peaches, sliced (skin left on)
1/2 cup frozen or fresh mango
1/2 – 1 cup non-fat vanilla greek yogurt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 lime (juiced)

Directions:

Slice peaches, and place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. I pour mine into a mason jar, so I can take it to work with me (7 am shifts start early). Top with blueberries, strawberries or raspberries and enjoy.
