What To Wear:

General guidelines for the fashionista with an invite to a wine and cheese party (ECFB Style).

Determine The Dress Code

Wine
and cheese parties vary in their dress codes depending on whether the
event is formal or in-formal. Always be sure to confirm the dress code
before making any decisions. When I think about wine and cheese I
immediately think simple, easy, sophisticated and elegant, and so when
you are planning your outfit try to encapsulate these concepts so they
translate effortlessly into your ensemble.

Consider The Event And Its Purpose:

In order to really appropriately dress for the event think about the purpose of the event. What are you doing there? What other kinds of people will be attending? This should help you to determine whether to glam it up, or keep it casual.

If All Else Fails:

Some really safe choices would be to wear black and white, and pair it with the most interesting piece of jewelry you own. Think of a subdued more casual version of Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Statement jewelry was definitely on trend for the ECFB wine and cheese event.  Check out these great pieces worn by the blogger lovelies.

I am obsessed with this last piece worn by Candice of Brilliant Sugar. The more I read her blog, and see her photos the more I fall in love with her style. Definitely a fashion inspo!

What I wore:

When I think wine and cheese I think it is the perfect excuse to get all dolled up, and so I think this event calls for a dress. Although not mandatory, I think a simple elegant dress is the perfect option for a wine and cheese. I decided to play it safe and go for a bold necklace with a simple dress. Besides, I was just getting warmed up for all the fashionable events to come.

Because the event we were attending was at one of the blogger’s house I decided that it was more appropriate to situate myself somewhere in between formal and informal or otherwise known as “casual dressy”. With an iphone in one pocket and lipstick in the other I was ready for the wine and cheese. Special thanks to my grandmother for purchasing this “little black dress” wine for me, which I nerded out by wearing a little black dress to accompany it.

For casual dressy:

Keep to informal dresses, skirts, blouses and trousers. Resist the urge to wear a floor length gown, or your old prom dress. Normally the colors for a formal wine and cheese would include, black, blue or red, but because this event is casual dressy I don’t see why bright hues wouldn’t be appropriate, but just remember to keep the fabric and cut sophisticated.

Be Yourself:

At the end of the day you could wear a garbage bag and look amazing, but it's all in how you carry yourself. What ever you decide to wear, just wear it with confidence, and above all else just be yourself: the rest will all come in place. The best advice I've ever been given is to stand up straight, and wear a smile on your face 😉

No issues at all. The fabric was perfect. It also came with a scarf the same fabric of the dress. The dress looks just like the picture. I love it. Thank you for the price it was a deal!
