Blossoming On the Commons

Soaking up some sunshine on the commons last week in my new ballet flats and little sock bun. Last week we had a fluke brush with summer for a grand total of two days. Everyone and anyone was out and about, tossing footballs, going for brisk jogs, and lounging in the sun. In Halifax nice days like this are so infrequent that whenever the sun makes its grand appearance everyone makes sure they take advantage. You never know when it will be back again.
There’s something about the parks, and sidewalks being full of pleasant people that is so exciting to me.  Living in Canada we get such a wide range of weather, but there’s no question which season takes precedence. Everything comes to life when the sun comes back out, and the temperature starts to rise. People perk up, and there’s a general air of happiness.
When it’s warm like this you might want to pull your hair off your face, and a sock bun is a really simple way to do so. I’ll post a video tutorial from youtube that I used to teach myself how to do it. Unfortunately I have too many fly aways, so I need to wear a head band to keep my bangs back 🙂 for most of you, the headband, will be optional.
What I’m wearing today:
Shirt: H&M
Skirt: Gap
Shoes: Calvin Klein Ballet Flats
Sweater: Tommy Hilfiger
Sunglasses: Ray Bans
Happy Friday Fashionistas!

Thanks so much Leanne. I was trying out the lipstick color I got it with my Lancome gift with purchase, and I'm kind of liking it.
