Fashion Friday: Tights

You can have pantyhose, and you can have long fingernails unfortunately you can’t have both.

I’m really into the high waisted skirt these days, so living in Halifax Nova Scotia requires you to wear tights to brave these unpredictable elements. I recently went shopping at MicMac and I spent over an hour in H&M alone.
I tried on almost everything in the store, and as I was making my way to the check out with heaps of clothing I noticed they have an entire wall of tights! Being a dancer, It was like I died and had gone to heaven. They might as well have radiated off the racks; I naturally wanted to buy them all. Styles range anywhere from simple solid in a rainbow of colors to printed poke a dots or flowers: you name it they have it.

I didn’t notice whether they had white tights or not, but personally I’ve been seeing a lot of white tights around. Which I love when paired with a simple knit dress in winter hues of blacks, grays, and navy blues. So pile on the shorts, skirts, dresses, over-sized dress shirts and belted long cardigans, but remember there is only one rule when it comes to tights, and that is: they don’t count as PANTS.

So cover up those legs ladies! Winter is coming.
